a special request from a lady from Brasil (I’m blushing) and from England to show more detailed pictures of the stitchery blocks from the Gardener’s Journal quilt. I used a cotton the same colour as the fabric, did not use the BSR from the Bernina and freemotion-stitched in the ditches of the blocks, and then the outlines of the DMC-stitched embroideries and also inside the embroideries. I tried to echoquilt around the ladies, but that didn’t look good, and with little cobblestonequilting it would have taken me ages to finish and it also looked a bit messy to be honest.

Ik kreeg een verzoek van een dame uit Brazilië en Engeland om wat detailfoto’s te laten zien van het quiltwerk in de stitchery blokken, vandaar in het Engels.Ik heb katoen genomen in dezelfde kleur als de achtergrondstof en heb eerst uit de vrije hand in de ditch gestikt en toen zonder BSR rond de stitcheries zelf. Echoquilten of kiezelsteentjesquilten rond de dames vond ik niet mooi, dus dat heb ik weer snel uitgehaald.
